Welcome to the official website of the Zanzibar Public Leaders’ Ethics Commission (Ethics Commission).  The Ethics Commission is an independent agency of the Zanzibar Revolutionary Government responsible for implementation and enforcement of the Zanzibar Public Leaders’ Code of Ethics Act, No. 4 of 2015 which requires all public leaders to make declaration of their assets and liabilities to the Ethics Commission.

The mission of the Ethics Commission is to promote the highest standards of integrity, ethical behaviour and conduct to the public leaders. We strive to accomplish this mission by enhancing transparency, accountability, compliance, law enforcement and providing public awareness and educating the public on the importance of Code of Ethics.
